The former Governor of Bayelsa state and current Senator representing Bayelsa west senatorial district, His Excellency Senator Henry Seriake Dickson has lauded the appointment of Didi Esther Walson-Jack (MNI) as Head of Service of the Federation.
The Senator expressed his warm felicitation shortly after the announcement of her appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to take effect from 14th August 2024.
It’s on good records that Didi Esther Walson-Jack is from Bayelsa state and have served in several capacities in the civil service prior to her recent elevation to Head of the Civil Service of the Nation.
Senator Dickson on his official facebook page, thankes President Bola Tinubu for appointing her, that the civil service will start experiencing positive changes.
In his remark, “On behalf of my family and the good people of Bayelsa West Senatorial District, I heartily congratulate Dame Didi Walson-Jack (mni) on her very well-deserved appointment as Head of Service of the Federation.
It is gratifying to note that her intellect, dedication to duty and commitment to public service has been rewarded by Mr. President, who has appointed her, as the Head of Service of the Federation, thus making her the number one civil servant of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and this is a fitting tribute to her selfless service and dedication over the years.
I have known her closley, and she has worked in several capacities, with a lot of leaders in her long and unblemished public service career.
I wish her a very successful and productive tenure and I know that she is full of innovation in addition to being someone with very high standards.
With her, the federal public service is in safe hands, and it is going to witness a lot of positive changes.
While we celebrate her appointment, we must thank God also for making this possible.
I thank Mr. President specially, for the confidence reposed in her. It is a great honour to our state, the Ijaw nation and we all share in this moment of happiness. Dame Didi Walson-Jack is the first Bayelsan to have attained this enviable height.
