The Executive Governor of Bayelsa state, Senator Douye Diri, presided over the 130th Bayelsa State Executive Council meeting at the state government house.
“Today’s meeting is significant because it is the full Bayelsa State executive council meeting in our second tenure. Therefore, let me welcome the new members to our executive council. Well, you are new but you are not new to the government and you are not new to Bayelsa State.
There are rules, regulations and practices guiding members of the executive council. You are our eyes and ears in the ministries. Please, work as a team. Don’t be too isolated and individualistic. One of the hallmark of this government, is humility. You have to be humble. Yours is service to the people.
For today, we will only want to appreciate the people of the state. The people of Bayelsa, who have provided the enabling environment for this government to thrive. We are encouraged that Bayelsans are very happy with the policies and programmes we are executing in the state”, Gov. Diri stated.
